19th February 2005 Windsurfing: Golf Course Car park, Ynyslas Wind Direction: N Wind Stength: 15-22 knots Surf / Sea State: 1 foot surf Air Temperature: 3ºC Sea Temperature: 9ºC Weather: Sunny spells and showers Max Speed: 25.1 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 15.5 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Perfect to start with, well powered up with the 5m for about 20 minutes, then the wind dropped off so I rigged my 5.7m The spent a while trying to get going in the marginal conditions and walking back upwind. Eventually it filled in nicely again for half an hour so I was well powered up anf flying along. I had some nice speed runs over the chop and made some nice gybes and the odd jump. Shame the wind was up and down or it would have been lovely. John and Rob were out too and a few people were kiting on and off as well. |
